Due to the UK officially leaving the EU on the 1st January we wanted to inform our customers about the changes we have made when shipping to countries outside of the UK.
From Friday 12pm 29th January 2021 UK VAT will be removed automatically at checkout for those shopping in the following countries. (If you forget to add something to your basket, once your county of destination has been recognised it will show product prices minus UK VAT throughout the shop.)
We have removed the UK VAT so that our customers are not paying VAT twice. VAT will now be charged on arrival in the destination country at that countries local VAT rate.
Please note we have no control over what each individual country charges, you can find this information on official government websites.
We are hoping that removal of the UK VAT will offset your countries VAT charge and that there will be very little difference in price.
All international orders are sent by DHL, with payment requests for VAT coming from DHL directly before your order can be delivered.
We have been advised that Duty will be charged on orders over the value of £150, however we can’t guarantee that is the case due to ongoing communications and possible changes on a trade agreement between the UK and EU.
All VAT and DUTY charges (if any) are liable and the responsibility of the customer, House of Curls does not have any control over these charges, it’s over to each individual country government to determine what should be paid.
Please note: If you refuse to pay the VAT and/or duty charge on your order once it has arrived at the destination country, you will be liable for any charges for the package to be sent back. These fees will be deducted from the refund of goods due.
It is important to us that we are as transparent as possible with this situation and that all customers are happy to place an order
We hope this information helps and your shopping experience with us does not change in any way!
